Function
The wiper park position heater (R2/10) is automatically switched on, if:
- Circuit 61 ON (engine running) and
- an outside temperature of less than 6°C is detected.
Switch off is accomplished automatically when:
- Circuit 61 off (engine off)
- After a maximum of 25 min. (depending on the engine temperature, the vehicle speed signal, the AAC sun sensor (4 in total) value and the number of windshield wiper operations)
Actuation of heating elements
The wiper park position heater (R2/10) is actuated by the driver-side SAM control unit (N10/10) for a maximum of 25 min., in order to prevent damage to the glass in the vicinity of the parked wiper blades.
