  Trunk lid relay, position The two relays,
  • trunk lid open relay (K69/1)  and
  • trunk lid close relay (K69/2) 

are located in a common plug-in socket behind the paneling in the trunk at the right.
 
  Trunk lid open relay, task
  • Switching on and off of the hydraulic pump RTL (M51)
  • Selection of direction of rotation for hydraulic pump RTL (M51) via the respective position of the switching contact.
 
  Trunk lid open relay, design Each relay consists of a changeover switch between ground and terminal 30, and a relay coil. The relay coil is driven directly by the pneumatic control module (combined) (A37).
