Models 215, 220

The COMAND operating, display and control module (A40/3n1) with software status Q15 is TV-compatible.

Modules with software status Q14 to Q10 can be updated with a special update CD to the Q15 status.

(Software status Q3 will be available as an update CD as of 02/2000).

Verify the software status:

Remove COMAND operating, display and control module. Look for the round sticker with the software status on the right side of the unit.

In new models (as of 08.99) modules with the Q status Q1 and Q2 are fitted, these modules featuring COMAND of the next system generation. They are always TV-compatible.

An update is only required if it is necessary to revise the software status when dealing with operational problems.

The update CD to status Q3 can be ordered in the same way as a special tool by quoting the no. 220 589 00 22 00.
