Manual activation function - GF86.10-P-2001MB
MODEL 220.175 /178 with CODE (Z04) Light armoring with CODE (Z07) Top protection with fire extinguishing system
If a fire is detected before automatic triggering, the system can be manually triggered using the fire extinguishing system manual activation switch (S62/23) :
- The yellow activation button must be pressed for at least 1 second in order to activate the system.
The function illumination starts to flash and the fire extinguishing system warning buzzer (H13) sounds.
- 2.1 If the activate button (red) is not actuated within 4 seconds the system goes back into its idle state.
- 2.2 If the activate button (red) is actuated for at least 3 seconds within 4 seconds, triggering occurs.
Function sequence
The fire extinguishing system manual activation switch (S62/23) passes a ground signal to the fire extinguishing system control module (N100.The control module passes an ignition pulse to the extinguishing agent canister 1 and 2 ignition squibs (R42 and R42/1).
This opens the canister's sealing mechanism and the gas flows into the pipe system, whence it emerges through the bores and nozzles.
Manual triggering of the fire extinguishing system is only possible at speeds of less than 40 km/h. At faster speeds the air suction that occurs would lessen the extinguishing effect.
