Automatic triggering function - GF86.10-P-2000MB
MODEL 220.175 /178 with CODE (Z04) Light armoring with CODE (Z07) Top protection with fire extinguishing system
The fire extinguishing system is automatically triggered if one of the two engine fire extinguishing system temperature sensors (B65) or the rear fire extinguishing system temperature sensor (B65/1) is exposed to a temperature exceeding 160 °C.
Function sequence
The engine fire extinguishing system temperature sensor (B65) or the rear fire extinguishing system temperature sensors (B65/1) passes a ground signal to the fire extinguishing system control module (N100). The control module passes an ignition pulse to the extinguishing agent canister 1 and 2 ignition squibs (R42 and R42/1).
This opens the extinguishing agent canister's sealing mechanism and the gas flows into the pipe system, whence it emerges through the bores and nozzles.
The fire extinguishing system warning buzzer (H13) is activated at the same time.
Automatic triggering of the fire extinguishing system is only possible at speeds of less than 40 km/h. At faster speeds the air suction that occurs would lessen the extinguishing effect.
