Task
- Limit engine speed (e.g. 1400 rpm for engine 119, 120) by shutting off the injection valves if mechanical faults exist in the actuator
- in the absence of engine speed signals TN, to interrupt the fuel pump operation.
- The ME control unit receives as of approx. 6/98 a crash signal from the airbag control unit/retention systems with trigger of airbag (Front crash). In this case, the ME-SFI control unit switches off the fuel pump.
