Raise vehicle with four-column lift platform |
Secure vehicle with parking brake. Observe accident prevent regulations, trade association regulation (BGV) D29 for lifting platforms, and guidelines provided by lifting platform manufacturer.
The vehicle must stand horizontally on its wheels since the play of the supporting joints (2) when installed and loaded must be checked. |

Check play at both supporting joints (2) by pushing
on gauge (01). |

The gauging (01) may only be used when the specified internal dimension of the signal edges is 89.9+0.1 mm. If worn or damaged, check the
gauge (01) using a digital caliper gauge. If the internal dimension deviates from the specified value,
the gauge (01) must not be used and a new gauge must be used.
If the
gauge (01) can be pushed onto a supporting joint, the supporting joint must be replaced: ↓ Install new supporting joint: |

Picture A:
The
gauging (01) can be pushed onto the supporting joint, the supporting joint must be replaced.
Picture B
: The
gauging (01) cannot be pushed onto the supporting joint, the supporting joint does not
have to be replaced.
If the
gauging (01) cannot be pushed onto the supporting joint, although on a subjective test the supporting joint shows play, the supporting joint is OK and does not have to be replaced. A play of up to 1 mm is permissible and safe from a technical point of view. Since the supporting joint self-centers when loaded, problems with noise and other functional problems do not occur despite the play. |
