Hydraulic line (return line) from rack-and-pinion steering to oil cooler

	Remove/Install
	Risk of death  cased by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates at the lifting platform support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
	Before opening the hydraulic system the area surrounding the separation point should be cleaned thoroughly. Even the smallest dirt particles, introduced into the hydraulic components, can lead to malfunctions and a total failure of the hydraulic system
1	Open engine hood		AR88.40-P-1000M
2	Remove left engine intake air duct upstream of the air cleaner housing
3	Remove left side of air cleaner housing		AR09.10-P-1150LA
4	Remove expansion reservoir for power steering pump and Active Body Control		AR46.25-P-1000MB
5	Detach return line (1) from power steering cooler	Seal connections with plugs.

6	Raise vehicle with lifting platform
7	Remove engine compartment paneling	Installation:  Only after function test and leak test is complete.	AR61.20-P-1105M
8	Detach return line (1) from front axle carrier; to do this, unscrew bolt (2) and remove bracket (3) through the recess		*BA46.30-P-1025-01C
9	Unscrew bolts (4) from front axle carrier and heat shield (5)	Unscrew the bolts (4) from above.
10	Remove rack-and-pinion steering		AR46.20-P-0600M
11	Take out return line (1) downwards
12	Install in the reverse order
13	Fill power steering pump and bleed		AR46.30-P-0010N
14	Check power steering for proper operation and hydraulic line connections for leaks
