1. Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS.
2. Select in the menu "Chassis  " Sub-assembly "Control modules  ".
3. Select "ME2-SFI  "
4. Select "control module adaptations  "
5. Select "variant coding  "
6. Select "Read out/carry out coding  ".

Whether the motor electronics control module has to be coded automatically or manually depends on whether the coding can be read out of the motor electronics control module Both types are supported by STAR DIAGNOSIS. Follow the instructions on the screen

1. 7.1 "Transfer the coding to the new control module, confirm  with "yes  ".

   Only if the motor electronics control module to be replaced can be read out using STAR DIAGNOSIS.

2. 7.2 "Transfer manual coding to the new control module, confirm  " with "yes  ".

   Only if the motor electronics control module to be replaced cannot be read out using STAR DIAGNOSIS.

3. 8.1 Carry out variant coding of the motor electronics control module.

   Only if it was not possible to transfer the coding to STAR DIAGNOSIS.

4. 9 "Carry out identification, confirm  "with "yes  ".
5. 10 Enter the chassis number
6. 11 Turn ignition key into position 2 and wait for 60 seconds.

   The motor electronics control module learns the neutral position of the throttle valve.

7. 12 Carry out flywheel adaptation

   Follow the instructions on the screen.
