Driver request service indicator in ASSYST PLUS system

Procedure

Entry is possible to the first level in the multifunction display (A1p13) basic menu with "Circuit 15 ON". The temperature display and trip odometer should appear.

IMPORTANT If a different display appears initially, it is necessary to select this display with the system selection button (S110s3) on the multifunction steering wheel (MFL).

Service indicator 

Press scroll forward/back button on multifunction steering wheel (MFL) (S110s1) until service indicator (wrench) for ASSYST PLUS with scope of service and remaining distance (e.g. Service D) appears on the multifunction display (A1p13).

Call service menu 

To call the "SERVICE MENU" it is necessary to press the instrument illumination rheostat and reset button (A1r1) for 5 s.

Navigation service menu 

The display "SERVICE MENU" appears. With the + and a button, specific functions setting and volume control (S111s1) it is possible to navigate and select the desired items in the service menu.

IMPORTANT The item can then be confirmed with the bottom system selection button (S110s3). The item can be exited with the top system selection button (S110s3).

Selection of the possible button actuations is shown on the small display at the bottom.

Call service data 

To call the "SERVICE DATA", select this menu point with the + and a button, specific functions setting and volume control (S111s1). Then confirm with the bottom system selection button (S110s3).

IMPORTANT Here, the workshop code is displayed. This serves as preliminary information for the workshop (optimum time in workshop).

IMPORTANT All menu items and their submenus in the SERVICE MENU, such as "SERVICE DATA", can be operated with the + and a button, specific functions setting and volume control (S111s1) and the bottom system selection button (S110s3) for confirmation. Selection of the possible button actuations is shown on the small display at the bottom.

Reset ASSYST PLUS after service 

IMPORTANT Reset ASSYST PLUS only after service!

Sequence:

  1. 1. Insert transmitter key (A8/1) in EZS control unit (N73) and turn to position "Circuit 15 ON".

    2nd Call "SERVICE MENU".

    Select menu point "CONFIRMATION" with the + and a button, specific functions setting and volume control (S111s1).

    3rd Select menu point "CONFIRM" with bottom system selection button (S110s3).

    4th Mark selection point "STANDARD OIL" by pressing the + and a button, specific functions setting and volume control (S111s1) and select and confirm the menu point "SERVICE CONFIRMED" by pressing the bottom system selection button (S110s3) again.

    5th The service displayed has been reset.

  2. 6. Press the top system selection button (S110s3) repeatedly until the basic menu appears. ASSYST PLUS then calculates the next new service date.

Confirmation 

Select menu point "CONFIRM" with the + and a button, specific functions setting and volume control (S111s1).

Select menu point "CONFIRM" with the bottom system selection button (S110s3).

Display engine oil level 

A function requirement is that the transmitter key (A8/1) is set to position "circuit 15 ON".

The following procedure is required to display the engine oil level:

IMPORTANT When performed erroneously, the service confirmation can be reset with the service menu. Only the last confirmation can be reset.
