1	Remove key from ignition lock
2	Remove right engine intake air duct
	Clean
3	Clean control unit (N47-5) and hydraulic unit (A7/3)	Before opening the brake system the area around the separation point should be cleaned thoroughly. Even the smallest particles of dirt, introduced into the hydraulic components, can lead to malfunctions and a total failure of the brake system. Only use clean, lint free rags and cleaner free of mineral oil. Do not use any compressed-air for cleaning when the brake system is open.

4	Disconnect electrical connector from control unit (N47-5)	Observe the notes, otherwise the locking mechanism could be damaged. To prevent damage and malfunctions, do not touch, bend or damage the contacts (3a) of the plug and socket. Do not allow foreign objects, dirt or fluids to enter the socket or plug.	AR42.45-P-0820-02T
5	Remove bolts (1, 4 pieces)	Installation:  Do not  recut the thread in the hydraulic unit (A7/3). Replace bolts (1). Screw down the bolts (1) in stages in a crosswise pattern before tightening them.

6	Remove control unit (N47-5) from hydraulic unit (A7/3)	To prevent damage and malfunctions, do not touch the seal (2), contacts (3a, 3b, 3c), valve coils (4), valve towers (5) and pressure sensor (6). To prevent damage and malfunctions, do not allow foreign objects, dirt or fluids to enter the control unit (N47-5) or hydraulic unit (A7/3). Installation:  To prevent damage, do not allow forces above 150 N to be applied to the cover of the control unit (N47-5). Installation:  Check whether the seal (2) is damaged and seated correctly. Replace the control unit (N47-5) if the seal (2) is loose or damaged.

7	Check contacts (3a, 3b) on control unit (N47-5) and hydraulic unit (A7/3)		AR42.45-P-0820-03T
	Clean
8	Clean sealing surface on hydraulic unit (A7/3)	Do not use any solvents or chemical cleaners; use only plastic scrapers and clean, lint-free linen rags.
9	Install in the reverse order
	Checking
10	Use STAR DIAGNOSIS to update control unit (N47-5) software	STAR DIAGNOSIS diagnosis system	*WH58.30-Z-1048-13A
	Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory		AD00.00-P-2000-04A
11	Read out fault memory with STAR DIAGNOSIS and erase if necessary.
