The following steps should be run through in STAR DIAGNOSIS: |

|
Select menu item "SBC-Sensotronic Brake Control"/"Deactivate 'SBC' system". |
|
| |
|
Then process all the individual steps from top to bottom. |

Detach brake caliper carrier from steering knuckle or wheel carrier |
Do not detach brake hose, instead attach brake caliper to vehicle so that it is free of tension. Do not kink or tension brake hose, as otherwise it will be damaged. |

When removing the brake disks (61) on the rear axle |

Unscrew locking bolt (63) and remove brake disk (61) |
If the parking brake drum is worn turn back the slack adjuster for the parking brake, otherwise the parking brake shoe will be damaged: |

Installation:
Only replace brake disks (61) in pairs. Lightly grease the seat of the brake disk (61) with MB long-life grease and replace the locking bolt (63). |

Installation:
On 6-piston brake calipers note mark for direction of rotation (65)! The arrow must point in the direction of rotation of the wheel during forward travel. |
