| 1 | Move driver seat all the way down | ||
| 2 | Unscrew bolt (2) | ||
| 3.1 | Unclip clip from cover (1). | ||
| 4 | Pull hood release (3) out of the cover (1), detach release cable (4) and remove hood release (3). | ||
| 5 | Remove bolts (5) | ||
| 6 | Fold cover (1) downward | ||
| 7 | Slide lock on data link connector (X11/4) in direction of arrow and remove data link connector (X11/4) from cover (1) | ||
| 8 | Disconnect electrical connector (6) at the central gateway control unit (N93) | ||
| 9 | Disconnect electrical connector (7) at the left front footwell lamp (E17/16) | ||
| 10 | Remove cover (1) out of the footwell | ||
| 11 | Install in the reverse order |
