  1. Remove multi-Z straightening set in area of rear suspension strut tower
  2. Mark separation point on inner rear wheel well and cut with body saw (area A).
  3. Expose spot welds and cut out with spot weld milling cutter (area B).
  4. Expose spot welds and cut out with spot weld milling cutter (areas C, D, E, F, H, I, J, K).
  5. Cut out welds (area G).
  6. IMPORTANT Before removing inner rear wheel well, install rear portal frame and fasten upper rear crossmember with welding device.
  7. Remove inner rear wheel well.

  8. Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas. Grind spot weld flanges down to bare metal on both sides
  9. Remove grinding and drilling chips using wet/dry vacuum cleaner.
  10. Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.

  11. Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas. Grind spot weld flanges down to bare metal on both sides
  12. Remove grinding and drilling chips using wet/dry vacuum cleaner.
  13. Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.
