It is also possible to order the illuminated door sill molding with the lettering "AMG" (see table Parts Ordering Notes).

	Risk of explosion from explosive gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns from swallowing battery electrolyte. Risk of injury through burns to skin and eyes from battery acid or when handling damaged lead-acid batteries	No fire, sparks, naked flames or smoking. 3	Remove rear seat cushion

4	Remove fold-down rear backrest

5	Remove left and right door sill moldings
6	Pull off rubber door seal near the B-pillar on both sides at the front
7	Open cable ducts on both sides of the vehicle at the front and rear
8	Remove coverings in trunk

9	Open rear SAM
10	Remove rear passenger compartment side trim panel	Left and right side trim panel. Work side trim panel loose until the wiring harness can be routed.
	Remove rear passenger compartment side trim panel		AR68.30-P-4780Q
	Install
11	Connect wiring harness	Wiring harness for illuminated door sill molding.	AZ82.20-P-0001-02Q
12	Check for proper function	When the door contact switch is actuated the door sill molding illuminates, however, switches off automatically after 5 minutes.
13	Installation is carried out in the reverse sequence	Steps 10 to 1
