Clean fire extinguishing system - AR86.10-P-0120MB

MODEL 220.1 /8 with CODE (Z04) Light armoring with CODE (Z07) Top protection with fire extinguishing system

REMOVING Remove     
DANGER Injury hazard  to skin and eyes from particles when blowing out extinguishing lines Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and eye protection. AS86.00-Z-0005-01A
1 Ignition Off, detach transmitter key from the electronic ignition switch control unit    
2 Remove fuse no. 54 and no. 58 from rear fuse and relay module IMPORTANT The rear fuse and relay module is located below the right rear seat

REFER TO BASIC KNOWLEDGE   Fuse assignment of rear fuse and relay box GF54.15-P-1256-01MB
3 Open engine hood IMPORTANT See Operator's Manual  
4 Remove extinguishing agent reservoir paneling (3)   AR86.10-P-0103MB 
5 Unscrew union nuts (1) and disconnect extinguishing agent pipes (2) from extinguishing agent reservoir (3)    
6 Connect compressed air flushing connection to extinguishing agent pipes (2) COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS
IMPORTANT The compressed air flushing connection can be obtained from the manufacturer of the fire extinguishing system.

CLEAN Cleaning     
7 Connect compressed air flushing connection to compressed air hose of workshop compressed air supply and pressurize IMPORTANT Pressure approx. 10 bars  
DANGER Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between the columns of the hydraulic hoist and position the four support plates below the hoist support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
8 Raise vehicle. NOTES Do not damage extinguishing agent lines on fire extinguishing system when jacking up vehicle.  
9 Check extinguishing agent outlet holes (4) of extinguishing agent lines (5) over entire length as well as extinguishing agent line end pieces (6) for air leakage, clean if necessary IMPORTANT Clean clogged extinguishing agent outlet holes (4) with standard 2.5 mm dia. bit  
NOTES Special note regarding wax preservation   AH97.20-P-1000-02PV
10 Disconnect compressed air hose from workshop compressed air supply    
11 Remove compressed air flushing connection from compressed air hose and from extinguishing agent pipes (2) COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS *WH58.30-Z-1013-10A 
12 Blow out fire extinguishing system temperature sensor (B65) at bottom left on front wheel carrier and rear fire extinguishing system temperature sensor (B65/1) with compressed air and remove dirt NOTES Contaminated fire extinguishing system temperature sensor (B65) and rear fire extinguishing system temperature sensor (B65/1) can influence the function of the fire extinguishing system  
13 Lower vehicle NOTES When pulling out the supports arms, ensure that the extinguishing agent lines for the fire extinguishing system are not damaged.  
14 Blow out fire extinguishing system temperature sensor (B65) on spring strut tower with compressed air and remove dirt NOTES Contaminated fire extinguishing system temperature sensor (B65) can influence the function of the fire extinguishing system  
INSTALLING Install     
15 Connect extinguishing agent pipes (2) to extinguishing agent reservoir (3) and tighten union nuts (1) IMPORTANT Pay attention to tightening instruction.

16 Close engine hood IMPORTANT See Operator's Manual  
17 Install extinguishing agent reservoir (3)   AR86.10-P-0103MB 
18 Insert fuses no. 54 and no. 58 into rear fuse and relay module IMPORTANT The fuse and relay module is located below the right rear seat

INSPECT Check     
19 Perform self-test for fire extinguishing system   AR86.10-P-0101-01MB
