  BAS solenoid valve, location In the BAS brake booster.  
  BAS solenoid valve, task Admits air to the driver side chamber to carry out maximum brake assistance when BAS is activated.
With ESP: Applies approx. 5 bar inlet pressure to the high-pressure pump in ESP closed-loop operation.
With DTR: Carries out braking of the vehicle if necessary in DTR closed-loop operation.
 
  BAS solenoid valve, function The solenoid of the BAS solenoid valve is activated by the BAS / ESP control module and opens the poppet valve. The poppet valve admits atmospheric pressure to the rear of the power diaphragm of the brake booster and increases the brake pressure.
