Opening engine hood, moving to upright position, closing - AR88.40-P-1000M

DANGER Contact with components under high voltage can pose lethal hazard  Do not touch parts under high voltage. People with electronic implants (e.g. heart pacemakers) should not perform work on ignition system. AS15.10-Z-0001-01A
  Opening     
1 Pull lever (1) in driver's footwell to release engine hood IMPORTANT The handle (2) pops out of the radiator grille, if necessary lift engine hood slightly  
2 Pull handle (2) out of radiator grille to stop and open engine hood NOTES Do not lift handle  
  Moving to upright position     
3 Press locking lever (3) on right engine hood hinge in direction of arrow and press engine hood upward lightly so that locking lever does not catch. Repeat procedure on left engine hood hinge and move engine hood to upright position    
  Closing     
4 Press locking lever (3) on left engine hood hinge in direction of arrow and close engine hood until locking lever (3) engages    
5 Close engine hood. For this purpose place hands on edge of engine hood only NOTES After closing engine hood check locking function by pulling engine hood up with a jerk
