1. Route roof sign wiring harness (3) as shown in figure into rear and left area of roof.

2. Mark hole pattern for roof sign wiring harness centered on left B-pillar, drill through outer panel, drill out hole to 29 mm dia. and prime.

3. Insert welding rod (auxiliary tool) through hole drilled from outside through inner panel (arrow) below roof. Pull roof sign wiring harness into passenger compartment with auxiliary tool.

   Ensure that wiring harness (3) is routed above window airbag in roof area.

4. Clean area to be glued on B-pillar.

   Area to be glued must be absolutely grease-free.

5. Disconnect roof sign lamp connector (E14/4x1) and glue on socket as shown in figure with pressure of approx. 120 N (F).

6. Route roof sign wiring harness (3) as shown in figure in left roof area and glue down with included special adhesive strips, A 006 986 02 85 (arrow).

   Fasten wiring harness very carefully to avoid rattling noises. Ensure that head airbag function is not impeded under any circumstances.

7. Route roof sign wiring harness (3) in area of right C-pillar.

   Route along present lines behind right head airbag!

1. 9 Insert the two leads from roof sign wiring harness (3) into the connector housing on the frame floor system wiring harness (1) for the roof sign lamp intermediate connector (X40).

   Connect the black lead from the roof sign wiring harness (3) to the brown lead from the frame floor system wiring harness (1) and the red lead from the roof sign wiring harness (3) to the red/green lead from the frame floor system wiring harness (1).
