Connection diagram for CTEL shown on portable CTEL branch-off line in armrest 

  1. Prepare wiring harness (2) as shown in figure.
  2. Route wiring harness (2) along existing leads in the vehicle as shown in figure.

  3. Solder blue/black cable (bl/sw) of wiring harness (2) at left of driver's footwell with solder connector to blue/black (bl/sw) cable of the connector sleeve for the wake-up signal (Z35/10).

  4. Route branch-off line to handset transmitter and receiver connector (X39/5) as shown in figure to the center tunnel.
  5. Route telephone wiring harness (2) in cable duct below right front passenger seat.

  6. Route brown cable (br) of wiring harness (2) to ground (right inner door sill) (W28/2) and connect.

  7. Route CTEL wiring harness (2) in right cable duct in right rear compartment to the rear fuse and relay module (K40/5).

  8. Plug in branch-off line of voltage supply wiring harness, red/black cable (rt/sw) on rear fuse and relay module (K40/5) to fuse socket (F4-f63).

    IMPORTANT Make sure that fuse socket 63 is fitted with a 7.5 A fuse.

  9. Route branch-off line of wiring harness (2) to portable CTEL D2B interface (A59/1) into the equipment plate area (3) below the right rear seat.

    IMPORTANT The cable for the hands-free system microphone has been pre-installed into the wiring harness on the right C-pillar, which is routed to the overhead control panel.

  10. Pull out the overhead control panel and FFS connector (X25/8) at the parcel shelf and disconnect it.
  11. Open connector housing.
  12. Insert black cable (sw) branch-off line of wiring harness (2) into cell 1.
  13. Insert white cable (ws) branch-off line of wiring harness (2) into cell 15.
  14. Assemble connector housing again and connect.

  15. Route branch-off line of wiring harness (2) to E-net compensator (A28/3) as shown in figure to the right of the parcel shelf.
  16. Route antenna wiring harness along existing leads into the right of the trunk.

    IMPORTANT Where a stationary heater is installed the antenna cable tied to the wiring harness for the Telestart duplexer is not required and can thus be untied.

  17. Route antenna cable of wiring harness (2) to CTEL and GPS roof antenna connector (A2/49x1).

    IMPORTANT Connect antenna cable after installation of roof antenna.
