REMOVING Remove     
DANGER Lethal injuries  are possible if vehicle slips off of lifting platform Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates at the lifting platform support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
1 Remove front road wheel    
REFER TO MAINTENANCE Remove/install wheels, rotate if necessary   AP40.10-P-4050Z
2 Remove supporting joint (7)   AR33.20-P-0440IW 
3 Remove upper transverse control arm (6)   AR33.20-P-0500I 
INSPECT Inspecting     
4 Move the ball pin of supporting joint (7) and follower joint (8) in all directions using a tube with a length of approx. 150 mm IMPORTANT The ball pin should move without play and without seizing, and should not cause any grinding noises. Replace the supporting joint (7) or upper transverse control arm (6) if necessary  
5 Check the boots (7f, 8f) for tears and damage IMPORTANT If the boot is leaking, replace the supporting joint (7) or upper transverse control arm (6).  
INSTALLING Install     
6 Install supporting joint (7)   AR33.20-P-0440IW 
7 Install upper wishbone (6)   AR33.20-P-0500I
