Remove/install rear door side airbag unit - AR91.60-P-0692MB

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
DANGER Injury hazard  during test or repair work on airbag units or emergency tensioning retractor units Store airbag unit with expulsion area on top, do not subject to temperatures above 100 °C. Interrupt power supply when working on such units. AS91.00-Z-0001-01A
NOTES Important instructions for performing repair, body work and welding on vehicles with airbag and emergency belt tensioner units   AH91.00-P-0002-01M

IMPORTANT Legal provisions concerning handling and storage of airbag and emergency tensioning retractor units   AH91.00-P-0004-01A
1 Remove inner door panel (2)   AR72.12-P-0104MB
2 Disconnect plug (5) on left rear side airbag squib (R12/11) or right rear side airbag squib (R12/12) IMPORTANTInstallation:  The plug (5) must lock in position audibly when being plugged in  
3 Drill out rivets (3, 4) NOTESInstallation:  The rivets (3) must be riveted from behind in order to prevent damage to the window.  
4 Remove side airbag (1) from inner door panel (2) IMPORTANT Disposal: If the side airbag (1) is replaced, the defective one should be disposed of properly: ↓

5 Install in the reverse order
