| 2 | Unhook backrest upholstery (6) with backrest upholstery clip groove (7) from backrest frame (5), see arrows | ||
| 3 | Remove tie straps (10, 3 pcs.) and expose pneumatic lines (12) | ||
| 4.1 | Unplug seat ventilation connector (11) | For electrically adjustable individual rear seats, with seat ventilation, heated seats and memory package, code 224c, or rear seat ventilation, code 402a. | |

| 6 | Move top and bottom tabs (see arrows) of reinforcement plate (2) | ||
| 7 | Push foam rubber padding (8) away from backrest frame (5) | ||
| 8 | Pull reinforcement plate (2) with air cushion (1) downwards and out between foam rubber padding (8) and backrest frame (5) | Installation: Do not tear off reinforcement plate (2) tabs. Fix top air cushion in place with strips of adhesive tape so that it does not fold over. |
