	Remove/Install
1	Remove cylinder head covers		AR01.20-P-5014L
			*BA01.20-P-1001-01E
	Check
	Timing	Inlet	*BE05.20-P-1001-02F
		Outlet	*BE05.20-P-1002-02F
2	Position engine to 30° after ignition TDC of cylinder 1	Crank engine at crankshaft in direction of rotation of engine until 30° marking on belt pulley/vibration damper is aligned with marking on timing case cover. Engine must not be cranked back.
3	Check basic position of camshafts	The basic position of the camshafts is only correct if both retaining devices (5) can be installed free of stress at the left and right cylinder head. The marking (A) of the camshaft bearing cap (2) must be aligned with the marking (B) of the camshaft (3).

		Set the basic position of camshafts	AR05.20-P-6020L
4	Install in the reverse order
