Side window antennas, function - GF82.62-P-3111-04PS

The radio frequency (RF) oscillation  of the electrical field in the air is converted into a high frequency AC voltage in an  electrical conductor.

A standing electrical wave  is formed in the antenna  by correct tuning  of the antenna length  to the wave length  of the frequency to be received.

The amplitude  of the HF signal  has a constant value at any specific point on the antenna.

The RF signal level  is at the maximum at the connection point.

A deviation in the antenna length  in relation to the optimum length leads to a reduction of the RF signal level  at the antenna output.

If the deviation is too great, it is no longer possible to receive an RF signal (for example when antennas are connected incorrectly to the antenna amplifiers).
