	Checking
	Before performing any type of work on the vehicle check whether a new BAS control module is already installed.
1	Connect HHT	Models 129, 140, 170: HHT module 1 status 03/98 Models 202, 208, 210: HHT module 2 status 03/98
2	Select menu	Path: Chassis/BAS/adapt control modules
3	Check BAS control module part number	Compare part number of control module installed with the part number in the table in the "Parts ordering note". The part number suffix "/05" is not present on the control module housing and on the HHT display (should therefore be neglected).
	Removal, installation
4	Shut off ignition
5	Remove, install BAS control module	See parts ordering note for part number	AR42.31-P-6001A
6	Read out and erase traction system DTC memory
7	Read out and erase BAS system DTC memory	DTC C1025 in the BAS can be ignored.
8	Disconnect HHT
9	Start engine	All indicator lamps should go out
