Low-Pressure Test

NOTE: Perform high-pressure test first, see HIGH-PRESSURE TEST  .
  1. Turn off engine and press brake pedal until vacuum is reduced.
  2. Turn back brake pedal winch (080), see Figure , until a line pressure of approximately 44 psi (3 bar) overpressure is still indicated on pressure gauge. Line pressure must not fall for a duration of 2 minutes.
  3. If low-pressure test is OK, disconnect pressure tester (051) and bleed brake system. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM  . If low-pressure test is not OK, check for brake fluid loss. See BRAKE FLUID LOSS  .
