	The roll bar lowering and raising operations can be performed independently of each other
1	Switch off the ignition and remove the transmitter key from the EIS control unit	On vehicles with code (889) Keyless-Go, press KEYLESS-GO start/stop button repeatedly until ignition is switched off. Remove the Keyless Go chip card or transmitter key from the vehicle and store beyond the range of the transmitter (at least 2 m).
2	Remove left and right rear side paneling		AR68.30-P-4780R
3	Rotate hydraulic cylinder locking pawl by 90°, pull pack securing clamp and remove hydraulic cylinder locking pawl from left and right support element (3)	Only on vehicles without retracting springs (1) at support element (3). Do not expose and detach hydraulic lines.	AR91.53-P-0100R
4.1	Press retracting springs (1) in left and right support elements (3) simultaneously with a screwdriver (2) in direction of arrow (arrow A). In doing so, press the roll bar down all the way, then release the retracting springs (1)	Only on vehicles with retracting springs (1) at support element (3). Aid of helper required. After releasing the retracting springs (1), the locks in the support elements (3) must latch audibly. Once the locks have latched, carefully release the roll bar.
4.2	Simultaneously press locking pawl in left and right support element (3) through the opening (5) using a screwdriver. In the process, press roll bar down completely	Only on vehicles without retracting springs (1) at support element (3). Aid of helper required. After releasing the retracting springs (1), the locks in the support elements (3) must latch audibly. Once the locks have latched, carefully release the roll bar.
5	Push hydraulic cylinder locking pawl with attached securing clamps into left and right support element (3)	Ensure the correct seating of the catch hooks in the slots at the hydraulic cylinder locking pawl. The catch hooks must latch audibly.	AR91.53-P-0100R
6	Install left and right rear side paneling	Do not install right side trim panel when the roll bar will be raised mechanically after being lowered.	AR68.30-P-4780R
	Setting up
7	Switch off the ignition and remove the transmitter key from the EIS control unit	On vehicles with code (889) Keyless-Go, press KEYLESS-GO start/stop button repeatedly until ignition is switched off. Remove the Keyless Go chip card or transmitter key from the vehicle and store beyond the range of the transmitter (at least 2 m).
8	Remove side rear side paneling	Only when the right side trim panel in the rear has not yet been removed during prior operation steps.	AR68.30-P-4780R
9	Have an assistant keep the roll bar pressed down. By pressing the pin (arrow B) using a size 3 Allen wrench (4), manually trigger the roll bar deployment solenoid (RB [URB]) (Y57/1) at the right support element. After release, carefully raise roll bar
10	Install right side trim panel in rear		AR68.30-P-4780R
