| 1 | Assess all the steel brake disks (1) on the front and rear axle | except CODE B07 (AMG ceramic high performance compound brake system) Assess score marks, cracks, corrosion, ridging on outer edge and soiling (oil, grease). For perforated or counterbored steel brake disks (1) assess the crack length (x) including the bore diameter. For a crack length (x) > 25 mm, gaping cracks or score marks deeper than 0.5 mm or pitted corrosion or deeply contoured ridging at the outer edge: ↓ Replace steel brake disks (1) subject to separate repair order. For soiling (oil, grease): ↓ Clean steel brake disks (1), subject to separate repair order, replace if necessary. If, in exceptional cases, assessment of the steel brake disks (1) by means of visual inspection is not possible, ↓ Check condition of brake disks subject to a separate repair order. |
