4	Checked signal or status	The signal from the stop lamp switch is detected by the ESP, PML and BAS control unit (N47-5) and transmitted for the ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/10) to the CAN. The signal is checked for plausibility in the engine control unit and substitute values are created if there is an error. CAN transmission errors are detected by two different test procedures.
5		If the brake pedal is operated during travel, only the idle speed values from the accelerator pedal sensor are accepted. If necessary, substitute values are created by the engine control unit and the signals rejected by the accelerator pedal sensor. Also read out the ESP, SBC control unit fault memory.
