Telephone occasionally inoperative - AF91.27-P-6000A

MODEL 215 up to 7.8.00 

Damage code Cause Remedy  
53 646 74 Telephone adapter cable breaks in armrest hinge IMPORTANT Install shield: ↓  
    1 Remove rear air nozzle or rear air conditioning unit  
    2 Remove both screws according to hole pattern for guide plate mounting holes
IMPORTANT Use off-set screwdriver
 
    3 Insert guide plate with off-set lug
IMPORTANT Thereby lift cover lightly, Fig 3 .
 
    4 Install guide plate with screws and tighten.
IMPORTANTFig 4and Fig 5 .
 
    5 Check cable guide for easy motion.  
    6 Install rear air nozzle or rear air conditioning unit.  
    IMPORTANT This shield has been phased into production as of 08.08.2000.

IMPORTANT For installing the guide plate, the cover and the telephone shell should be pivoted slightly to the rear. Only then it is possible to easily move in the guide plate.

IMPORTANT To install the "sheet metal panel", these two screws should be loosened and reinserted with the guide plate (preferably using an off-set screwdriver).
