Remove/install and disassembling rear shelf - AR68.30-P-4580MB: Notes

MODELS 220.175 /178 with CODE (Z07) Top protection with electrically actuated curtain at the rear window

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove, Install     
1 Release rear seat backrest in upper area IMPORTANT Do not remove rear seat cushion. Refer to:↓  
    Remove/install rear seat backrest AR91.12-P-1620M
2 Remove rear head restraints   AR91.16-P-1770E
3 Remove paneling on C-pillar   AR68.30-P-4490MC 
4 Release plug-in clip (5) and remove IMPORTANT Pull rear seat backrest forward.  
5 Remove front rear shelf (1.1) forward    
6 Remove curtains out of drivers (8) IMPORTANT Identify installation position of curtains (wider side downward, pleats on inside).
IMPORTANTInstallation:  attach driver into the second tab of the curtains. Ensure that the curtains can be closed completely.
 
7 Remove curtain stopper (9) out of bottom curtain rail (4)    
8 Pull rear part of rear shelf (1.2) forward a little bit IMPORTANTInstallation:  Ensure correct seating in the brackets (3).  
9 Unthread curtain out of lower guide rail (4)    
10 Undo plug-in connection (2)    
11.1 Pull drive cable (6) out of bottom curtain rail (4) IMPORTANT Old version (A).  
11.2 Detach cover cap (8) and pull out locking pin (7), pull back drive cable (6) slightly at the bend, pivot downward and pull out of the bottom curtain rail (4) at the side IMPORTANT New version (B).
Installation:  Ensure correct seating of bend and locking pin in the bottom curtain rail.
 
12 Remove rear part of rear shelf (1.2) forward NOTESInstallation:  Ensure routing of drive cables (6) is free of tension for the rear curtain, otherwise damage cannot be ruled out.
Correct the routing of the drive cables (6) in the brackets if necessary.
IMPORTANTInstallation:  Ensure correct seating of the rear shelf in the brackets (3).
 
13 Detach bottom curtain rail (4) from rear part of rear shelf (1.2) IMPORTANT Only when required AR68.50-P-5600ML 
14 Check mounts (3) of rear shelf, rework if necessary IMPORTANT Only when required AR68.30-P-4580-01MB 
15 Install in the reverse order
