Parking Brake Shoes: Installation

Installation is reverse of removal procedure. Return adjuster to home position. Install shoes, turn back adjusting mechanism (105), and insert into both brake shoes such that adjusting wheel (c) points in direction of travel. Attach hold-down springs, retainers and return springs. Ensure correct seating of retraction springs (111 and 112). See Figure . Install rotor and adjust parking brake. See PARKING BRAKE  under ADJUSTMENTS. Tighten nuts and bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
