Removal & Installation
NOTE:
Suction off brake fluid from to "MIN" to prevent brake fluid reservoir from overflowing when pressing back piston.
NOTE:
Letters and numbers in parenthesis correspond to letters and numbers in illustrations.
- Raise vehicle and support. Remove wheels.
- Disconnect brake pad contact sensor connectors and pull sensors out of brake pads.
- Unclip electric feed line of brake pad contact sensor from retaining clamp on suspension member.
- Pry out clamp (10) using a suitable tool. See Fig 1 .
- Remove protective cap and unscrew brake caliper guide pin bolts (31c).
- Remove brake hose. See BRAKE HOSES .
- Remove brake caliper (31) together with brake pads.
- Remove brake pads. See BRAKE PADS (FRONT & REAR FLOATING) .
- Installation is reverse of removal procedure. Install new brake caliper bolts, DO NOT reuse old brake caliper bolts. Tighten nuts and bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
