Accelerator Pedal
NOTE:
Letters and numbers in parenthesis correspond to letters and numbers in illustrations.
- Remove key from Electronic Ignition Switch (EIS). Vehicles with Code (889) Keyless-Go, switch off engine, remove Keyless-Go cards from vehicle and store outside of transmitter range.
- Remove instrument panel lower cover. See INSTRUMENT PANEL LOWER COVER .
- Remove nut (arrow) attaching accelerator pedal (33). See Fig 1 .
- Remove accelerator pedal.
- Unplug pedal value sensor (B37) harness connector.
- Unplug kickdown switch (S16/6) harness connector, if applicable.
- Installation is reverse of removal procedure. Accelerator pedal must be inserted with front guide lug (arrow) in firewall. Tighten nuts and bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
CAUTION:
DO NOT disassemble accelerator pedal otherwise it will be damaged beyond repair.
