Remove/install cooling line of power steering system - AR46.25-P-3010GR

REMOVING Removing     
DANGER Danger of injury  to eyes caused by steering oil emerging at high pressure. Danger of poisoning  caused by swallowing steering oil Unscrew end limit screws a maximum of 5 turns. Wear safety glasses. AS46.00-Z-0001-01A
1 Remove front grille   AR88.00-P-2115GM
2 Remove lamp unit IMPORTANT Remove only on left-hand side.

3 Remove left front fender liner    
4 Suction off steering oil in steering oil reservoir MPECIAL TOOL Hand pump Figure
5 Detach return hose (1) from cooling line (2) of power steering system IMPORTANT Collect discharged oil in a suitable container or seal the return hose (1) and cooling line (2) with stop plugs.

6 Detach steering gear return hose (3) from cooling line (2) IMPORTANT Collect discharged oil in a suitable container or seal the cooling line (2) with a stop plug.

7 Turn steering to left and right wheel lock NOTES Do not start the engine. Doing so will cause irreparable damage to the power steering pump.
IMPORTANT Have a second person collect the discharged oil in a suitable container.
This will prevent the oil from running out of the steering gear return hose (3).
 
8 Remove cooling line (2) IMPORTANT To do so, unscrew and remove the nuts (4).  
9 Drain off oil in cooling line (2) IMPORTANT Collect oil in suitable container.  
INSTALLING Install     
10 Install cooling line (2) of power steering system.    
11 Attach steering gear return hose (3) to cooling line (2)    
12 Attach return hose (1) to cooling line (2)    
13 Fill steering system.   AR46.20-P-0500-10F 
FLUID SPECIFICATION *BF46.20-P-1001-01B 
14 Check power steering fluid level, correct if necessary   AP46.00-P-4611G
15 Check connections of installed hoses for leaks IMPORTANT Turn steering to left and right stop several times with the engine running.  
16 Fit end cover IMPORTANT Ensure gasket is correctly installed.  
17 Install lamp unit Model 463.243/244/245/246/247/248/249/250/254/270/271/309/332/333 AR82.10-P-4730GR

18 Install grille   AR88.00-P-2115GM
19 Install left front fender liner
