	Remove, Install
	Risk of explosion  from explosive gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns  from swallowing battery electrolyte. Risk of injury  through burns to skin and eyes from battery acid or when handling damaged lead-acid batteries	No fire, sparks, naked flames or smoking. Wear protective gloves, acid-resistant clothing and safety glasses. Pour battery electrolyte only into suitable and appropriately marked containers.	AS54.10-Z-0001-01A

2	Connect quiescent current retention device		AR54.10-P-1030-07I

3	Disconnect ground cable of battery		AR54.10-P-0003G
4	Remove floor covering at right front
5	Remove front signal acquisition and actuation module (SAM)	Do not unplug connectors. Installation:  Ensure the cables are correctly routed.	AR54.21-P-1261GM
6	Unscrew nut (1)
7	Detach bracket (5)	Start by removing screws (2).
8	Unscrew nuts (3).
9	Disconnect connectors (5, 6)
10	Unlock and unplug connectors (7, 8, 9)
11	Remove CDI control module (N3/9)	Pull down and out of the instrument panel. Installation:  Ensure the cables are correctly routed.
12	Unscrew bolts (11)
13	Take CDI control module (N3/9) off bracket (4)
14	Install in the reverse order
15.1	Deactivate the service mode in the TELE AID emergency call system	Only for code ET2: TELE AID - car telephone emergency call system.	AR82.95-P-0005-03GR
16	Read diagnostic trouble code memory and erase	STAR DIAGNOSIS Stored faults which can be due to disconnected cables or a simulation during assembly or test work, must be worked on in the fault memories at the end of the work and erased.	AD00.00-P-2000-04A
	Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory		*WH58.30-Z-1048-13A
