Removal & Installation

NOTE: Letters and numbers in parenthesis correspond to letters and numbers in illustrations.
  1. Remove center console. See CENTER CONSOLE  .
  2. Remove ventilation duct (1). See Fig 1 .
  3. Unplug parking brake connector (X20/10).
  4. Remove adjusting nuts (2).
  5. Remove nuts (5).
  6. Remove parking brake lever (4) with bearing bracket (3).
  7. Installation is the reverse of removal. Tighten nuts and bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Adjust parking brake. See PARKING BRAKE  under ADJUSTMENTS.
