Retrofit control unit and interface - AZ82.70-P-0008-01TB

  1. Route connection line for CTEL bracket (1) to the right knee bolster.
  2. Connect antenna line (ANT) to the strapped-down car antenna in the area of the right A-pillar.

  3. Place hands-free system interface box (3) on the front passenger footplate as shown in the figure, mark out hole pattern and drill with a 2 mm dia. bit.
  4. Secure control unit to the footplate using commercially available screws (30).
  5. Uncover connection lines (VDA) in area of the right A-pillar and connect to the hands-free system interface box (3).

  6. Route connector coupling (8) from the telephone bracket to the hands-free system interface box (3) and connect to hands-free system interface box (3) as shown in the figure.

    IMPORTANT The plugs have different codings and only fit in the corresponding connector.

  7. Place ICANI box (2) on the left side wall in the load compartment as shown in the figure and mark hole pattern.

    IMPORTANT For vehicles with audio gateway, this must be pulled out of the bracket behind the side wall before drilling.

  8. Drill hole pattern using 3 mm dia. bit and secure ICANI box (2) using commercially available sheet metal screws.
  9. Connect connection coupling of CAN wiring harness (4).

  10. Unplug speaker connection (SP) at the right A-pillar.
  11. Bridge 2-pin line to speaker connection (SP) using cable connector (V).
