The heating element is located between the intake pipe and the engine ventilation hose, on the left below on the intake pipe.

Task 

The vent line heater element prevents freezing of the crankcase ventilation system by condenwate and plugging up of the crankcase ventilation system by non-volatile oil residues.

Design 

The heating element consists of a plastic housing with an integral heating resistor and a 2-pin plug connector.

Function 

The heating element is switched on and off by the CDI control unit (N3/9) depending on the outside temperature.
