Remove and install COMAND operating, display and controller unit - AR82.85-P-1000T

1.1	Transfer basic data of COMAND operating, display and controller unit (A40/3) to STAR DIAGNOSIS	Only when replacing COMAND operating, display and controller unit (A40/3). Installation:  Transfer basic data from STAR DIAGNOSIS to COMAND operating, display and controller unit (A40/3).
	Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory		AD00.00-P-2000-04A
		STAR DIAGNOSIS diagnosis system	*WH58.30-Z-1048-13A
2	Remove ashtray housing (1) from front center console		AR68.20-P-2400T
3	Unclip fiber optic cable (2) from bracket (3) towards the front
4	Unclip electrical connector (4) from bracket (3)	Number of electrical connectors (4) according to equipment.
5	Remove bolts (5)
6	Pull kinematics stowage compartment (6) out of center console until bolts (7) are accessible, and put to one side
7	Unscrew bolts (7) counterclockwise as far as to the stop
8	Pull COMAND operating, display and controller unit (A40/3) out of the center console until the fiber optic cable connector and the electrical plug socket at the rear of the COMAND operating, display and controller unit (A40/3) are accessible
9	Disconnect fiber optic cable connector and the electrical plug socket at the rear of the COMAND operating, display and controller unit (A40/3) and remove COMAND operating, display and controller unit (A40/3)
10	Cover fiber optic cable		AR82.95-P-0005-01A
11	Install in the reverse order
