	Remove/Install
	Risk of injury.  Injuries may result when performing testing or repair work on airbag or emergency tensioning retractor units.	Store airbag units with deployment side facing up; do not expose to temperatures greater than 100 °C. When working on these units, disconnect the power supply.	AS91.00-Z-0001-01A

1	Ignition Off, detach transmitter key from the electronic ignition switch control unit	On vehicles with code (889) Keyless go: Press keyless go start/stop button repeatedly until the ignition is switched off. Remove the transmitter key from the vehicle and store it in a location beyond its transmission range (min. 2 m).
2	Remove rear passenger compartment side trim panel		AR68.30-P-4780QA
3	Remove bolts (1)		*BA91.60-P-1015-01A
4	Release and disconnect electrical connector (2)
5	Remove sidebag unit (3)	If the sidebag unit (3) is replaced, the defective unit must be disposed of properly. Refer to:↓ Render airbag units unusable (not )	AR91.60-P-0611A

6	Install in the reverse order
7	Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS, read out and erase fault memory
