Remove contacts from Junior Power Timer coupling - AR00.19-P-0120-07A

Unfasten secondary release on version with tab 

  1. Using a suitable tool, at the line side unlock the lugs (1) on lock tab.
  2. Open the tab.

  3. Lift side tabs of retainer (2) using a suitable tool (1).
  4. Pull retainer in direction of arrow.

  5. Lift locking catch (2) of cap (4) using a suitable tool (1).
  6. Pull coupling housing (3) out of cap in direction of arrow.

    Unfasten secondary release on version with locking striker 

  7. Lever off locking striker (2) using a suitable tool (1).

    NOTES The seal (3) may be damaged if the tool (1) is inserted too far. Prying up the locking striker (2) beyond the stop may destroy the locking striker (2).

    IMPORTANT The locking striker (2) remains unlocked when the female contacts are unpinned.

  8. Using a suitable tool, move both sliding plates (1) in housing in direction of arrow over catch mechanism.

  9. Using a suitable tool, move contact retainer (1) in direction of arrow out of locked position.

  10. Insert a suitable tool between spring (1) and housing and press out spring (1).

  11. Push (1) slider out of locked position in direction of arrow.

  12. Insert a suitable tool from the side under the lock tab on coupling (5).
  13. Open the lock tab in direction of arrow.

    Unfasten secondary release on version with securing clip in internal coupling (shown on Junior Power Timer, Maxi Power Timer coupling) 

  14. Press locking catches of retaining cap (1) using a suitable tool and remove retaining cap.
  15. Lift spring at coupling housing (2) using a suitable tool and push out internal JPT coupling (3).
  16. Press tabs of retainer (4) out of detent.
  17. Open retainer (4).

    Unpin female contacts from coupling 

  18. Insert blade holder with SPECIAL TOOL clamping pliers with SPECIAL TOOL JPT/SPT blade or SPECIAL TOOL MCP 2.8/Fl. 2.8/JPT/SPT blade from the front through the openings in contact cavity of coupling.

    IMPORTANT This presses together the springs of the female contact (1).

  19. A slight tug on the corresponding cable will remove the female contact (1) from the coupling.
