Removal & Installation

  1. Remove fan shroud assembly. See FAN SHROUD ASSEMBLY  .
  2. Remove fan wheel screws (2). See Fig 1 .
  3. Remove fan wheel (3).
  4. Remove fan motor screws (4) from fan shroud (1).
  5. Remove integrated control unit screws (5).
  6. Remove wiring harness for cooling fan motor with integrated control unit (6) from cable duct.
  7. Remove cooling fan motor, integrated control unit and wiring harness from fan shroud.
    8. WARNING: Ensure wiring harness for cooling fan motor with integrated control unit is correctly laid out in cable duct. Kinks and breaks in wiring harness can cause failure in the cooling fan motor and integrated control unit.
  8. Installation is the reverse of removal. Install cooling fan motor screws uniformly to ensure correct axial runout of the fan wheel.
