	Remove/install
	Risk of explosion  caused by oxyhydrogen gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns  caused by swallowing battery acid. Risk of injury  caused by burns to skin and eyes from battery acid or when handling damaged lead-acid batteries	No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking. Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing and safety glasses. Pour battery acid only into suitable and appropriately marked containers.	AS54.10-Z-0001-01A

1.1	Remove left seat shell in rear	Vehicles with code P98 Black Series	AR68.30-P-4782QBS
1.2	Remove dust filter housing	Vehicles without code P98 Black Series
2	Deactivate backup battery	Only for vehicles with code (349) E-Call emergency call system or with code (494) USA version
3	Detach nuts (5) and remove bracket (3)	Vehicles with code P98 Black Series
4	Remove cover (4) of battery (G1)	Vehicles with code P98 Black Series
5	Disconnect ground line (1) from battery ground	Installation:  Ensure that the ground line (1) is seated firmly, otherwise the negative terminal may be damaged.
6	Install in the reverse order
7	Perform basic programming		AR00.19-P-0200Q
8	Read out and erase fault memory using STAR DIAGNOSIS	On vehicles up to 30.1.04
