- Mark separation point with cutting template and separate (area A).
Do not damage C-pillar below.
- Expose spot welds and cut out with spot weld milling cutter (areas B, C, D and E).
- Expose spot welds and cut out with spot weld milling cutter (areas F, G, H and M).
- Expose spot welds and cut out with spot weld milling cutter (areas I, J, K and L).
- Mark coarse cut on rear fender and separate (area N).
Dimension X approx. 120 mm, dimension Y approx. 140 mm
Do not damage foam part located below.
- Remove section from rear fender.
- Heat rear fender with hot air gun in cross-hatched areas.
Cross-hatched areas are foamed and glued.
- Remove rear fender.
- Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas. Grind spot weld flanges down to bare metal on both sides
- Remove grinding and drilling chips using wet/dry vacuum cleaner.
- Coat insides of spot weld flanges and gluing surface with zinc dust paint.
- Cut rear fender to size in area of upper C-pillar with body saw and crimp inward with sheet metal crimping pliers (arrows).
