- Mark separation point and cut with body saw (area A).
- Expose spot welds and cut out with spot weld cutter (area B).
- Remove C-pillar outer section
Remove water drain hose underneath.
- Mark separation point and separate using a body saw (area F).
- Expose weld spots and mill off using a spot weld cutter (areas C, D, E and G).
- Mark separation point and cut with body saw (area H).
- Expose weld spots and mill off using a spot weld cutter (areas I, J and K).
- Remove inner C-pillar section at top.
- Grind open weld seams (area N).
- Expose spot welds and cut out with spot weld cutter (areas L and M).
- Heat up adhesive seam using a hot air blower (area H1).
- Completely remove C-pillar.
- Grind connection surfaces down to bare metal in shaded areas. Sand spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides

- Remove grinding and drilling chips with wet/dry vacuum cleaner.
- Coat insides of spot welding flanges and riveted joint with zinc dust paint.
