Remove/install engine hood - AR88.40-P-3000Q

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install    
DANGER Risk of injury  to fingers being jammed or squeezed  when removing and installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lid/tailgate or sliding roof. When moving components, ensure that no body parts or limbs are within the operating range of moving parts. AS00.00-Z-0011-01A
1 Remove air inlet grille (2) from engine hood (5).   AR88.40-P-3001Q 
2 Mark installation position of engine hood (5) IMPORTANT On engine hood hinges.  
3 Pry off retainer (3) and unhook gas pressure strut. NOTES Secure engine hood with aid of second person to prevent injury by accident.  
4 Unscrew screws (6) from engine hood TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA88.40-P-1001-01A 
5 Remove engine hood and lay down on suitable subsurface. NOTES Avoid damaging paint.  
6 Install in the reverse order    
7 Perform seam sealing before painting engine hood (5). IMPORTANT Perform only when replacing engine hood (5).
