Remove/install xenon headlamp control unit - AR82.10-P-4632Q

MODEL 209 with CODE (614) Bi-xenon headlamp unit 

MODEL 209 with CODE (615) Bi-xenon headlamp unit with integrated curve illumination

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install    
DANGER Risk of death  caused by high voltage levels present at xenon headlamps.
Risk of explosion/fire hazard  due to highly flammable substances in the area of damaged xenon bulbs
Risk of injury  due to UV light, hot components on xenon headlamps and glass splinters when xenon bulbs burst
Risk of poisoning  caused by inhalation of mercury vapors and by toxic salts and mercury compounds being ingested or coming into contact with skin
Do not come into contact with parts that are under high voltage. Persons with active electronic implants  (e.g. heart pacemakers) must never work on xenon headlamps. Switch off entire lighting system. Wear insulated safety shoes, safety glasses and protective gloves. Remove highly inflammable materials from the hazard area. Ensure sufficient ventilation in the working area. AS82.10-Z-0001-01A
1.1 Remove left front lamp unit (E1) Vehicles without code P98 Black Series
IMPORTANT Only if left xenon headlamp control unit (E1n1) is removed.
AR82.10-P-4730QA 
1.2 Remove front section of fender liner in left front fender Vehicles with code P98 Black Series
IMPORTANT Only if left xenon headlamp control unit (E1n1) is removed.
AR88.10-P-1300P
2.1 Remove front section of right fender liner in the front fender Vehicles without code P98 Black Series
IMPORTANT Only if right xenon headlamp control unit (E2n1) is removed.
AR88.10-P-1300P
2.2 Remove right front lamp unit (E2) Vehicles with code P98 Black Series
IMPORTANT Only if right xenon headlamp control unit (E2n1) is removed.
AR82.10-P-4730QA 
3 Remove bolts (1)    
4 Carefully pry off xenon headlamp control unit (E1n1) from left front lamp unit (E1) or xenon headlamp control unit (E2n1) from right front lamp unit (E2) IMPORTANTInstallation:  Pay attention to correct seating of seal (2) on xenon headlamp control unit (E1n1) or on xenon headlamp control unit (E2n1).

5 Install in the reverse order    
6 Conduct adaptation of xenon headlamp control unit Only when replacing xenon headlamp control unit (E1n1 or E2n1).  
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory   AD00.00-P-2000-04A
7 Check headlamp setting and correct if necessary    
REFER TO MAINTENANCE Check and correct headlamp adjustment   AP82.10-P-8260P
