Remove/install belt drive components - AR13.20-P-0001SX

REMOVING Removing     
DANGER Risk of injury caused by moving parts that can pinch, crush or, in extreme cases, even sever  extremities No parts of the body or limbs should be within the operating range of the mechanism when moving components. AS00.00-Z-0009-01A
1 Pull out front engine cover (1) from mounts    
2 Detach pressure line (6) from bracket (7) Vehicles with Active Body Control (Code 487) only.  
3 Loosen poly-V belt (2) and remove IMPORTANT To do this swivel clamping device (3) on hexagon (4) counterclockwise (arrow), remove poly-V-belt (2) and slacken clamping device (3).  
INSPECT Checking     
4 Inspect belt pulley sections, tensioning device (3) and guide pulleys (5) IMPORTANT Check for damage, wear and dirt; replace if necessary.  
5 Check poly-V belt (2) and replace if required    
REFER TO MAINTENANCE Check visible area of poly-V belt for wear AP13.22-P-1352SX  
REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install clamping device (3)  IMPORTANT Only perform steps 6 through 9 for remove/install of clamping device (3).  
6 Lock tensioning device (3) IMPORTANT Swivel clamping device (3) at hexagon (4) in an anti-clockwise direction and lock in place using drift (8).  
7 Remove bolts (3b) and remove clamping device (3) TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA13.25-P-1001-01P 
8 Slacken tensioning device (3) When replacing the clamping device (3)
IMPORTANT Clamp tensioning device (3) in a vise, swivel at hexagon (4) in an anti-clockwise direction, pull out drift (8) and slacken tensioning device (3).
IMPORTANTInstallation:  The tensioning device (3) can only be installed when locked.
 
9 Install in the reverse order    
REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install guide pulleys (5)  Only perform steps 10 through 12 for remove/install of guide pulleys (5).  
10 Pry off covers (5b)    
11 Remove bolts (5a) and remove guide pulleys (5) TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA20.10-P-1004-01U 
12 Install in the reverse order    
INSTALLING Install     
13 Fit on and tension (2) as per routing diagram IMPORTANT To do this swivel clamping device (3) on hexagon (4) counterclockwise (arrow), fit on poly-V-belt (2) and slacken clamping device (3).
NOTES Do not use wax or similar products, as this may cause poly-V belt (2) to slip.

14 Install pressure line (6) to bracket (7) Vehicles with Active Body Control (Code 487) only.  
15 Install front engine cover (1)
